Purpose of the Essay: Your essay is utilized by the Platform to help you find and join the most compatible local “groups” and to connect you with like-minded individuals in your geographic area.
Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information in your essay and to update it as necessary. You may not impersonate any person or entity or use a fake identity.
Platonic Connections thrives on mutual respect, intellectual curiosity, and safety. You agree that you will not use the Platform to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
No Solicitation of Funds: Under no circumstances may you use Platonic Connections to solicit money from other users. This includes, but is not limited to, asking for financial assistance, promoting crowdfunding campaigns, requesting loans, selling products or services, or attempting to execute financial scams.
No Harassment or Abuse: You may not stalk, bully, intimidate, or harass other users.
No Hate Speech or Harmful Content: You may not post or share content that is offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
No Spam: You may not send bulk messages, unauthorized advertisements, or repetitive communications to other users or groups.
Violation of any of these rules will result in immediate account suspension or termination.
Your Content: You retain ownership of the essay and any other content you submit to the Platform (“User Content”). However, by submitting User Content, you grant Platonic Connections a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Platform for the purpose of matching you with groups and users.
Platform Content: All logos, site design, text, graphics, and algorithms on https://platonicconnections.com/ are the intellectual property of Platonic Connections and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
Platonic Connections facilitates connections that may lead to in-person meetings through local groups.
You acknowledge that Platonic Connections does not conduct criminal background checks on its users or verify the statements made in user essays.
You agree to exercise common sense and caution when meeting other users in person. Always meet in public places, inform a trusted friend or family member of your plans, and prioritize your personal safety.
Platonic Connections assumes no liability for any offline interactions, injuries, losses, or damages resulting from meetings with individuals you connect with through the Platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, at any time and without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms (especially regarding the pursuit of romantic/sexual connections or the solicitation of money), or if your behavior is harmful to the Platform or its users. You may also delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
The Platform is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Platonic Connections makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation of the Platform, the accuracy of user essays, or the success of any friendships or group placements formed through the site.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Platonic Connections, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Platform, or the conduct of any third party or user on the Platform.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
